Strengthening the Perspectives on Supply Chain Viability
Effective supply chain management requires a long-term focus. While conflicts between internal strategies may arise in the short term, a balance must be struck in the long term. This report outlines the relevance of supply chain stability in an increasingly volatile environment and forms the basis for our research project.

Stakeholder Requirements for Supply Chain Viability
To optimise the viability of the supply chain, it is essential to understand the expectations and requirements of internal (e.g. shareholders or management) and external (e.g. customers or authorities) stakeholders. This report outlines an approach that companies can use to identify these requirements, and presents the most important stakeholders and their basic requirements.

Mapping Trade-offs in Supply Chain Viability
This report addresses the most common trade-offs in supply chain management, i.e. the tensions that arise between efficiency, resilience and sustainability. It demonstrates how conscious trade-off management could become a vital skill in this field. Companies must understand these trade-offs and develop strategies that balance competing goals, ideally turning them into synergies.

KPIs to Measure Supply Chain Viability
The report presents a framework for evaluating the viability of supply chains. Of the over 600 KPIs identified, 265 were filtered out and presented in a final, manageable shortlist. The report also shows that there are no universal KPIs. Instead, SCV and company-specific conditions must be aligned. Finally, it offers a five-step model to help companies narrow down the KPIs relevant to them.

Supply Chain Viability KPI Shortlist
This shortlist contains a consolidated set of 30 key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be used to assess supply chain viability (SCV). These KPIs are organised according to three central SCV dimensions: efficiency, resilience and sustainability. The title, brief description, unit, basis for calculation and locations within the company where the KPIs can be found are specified for each KPI.

Navigating Trade-Offs in Supply Chains: Strategic Pathways towards Viability (DRAFT)
This report focuses on the practical implementation of supply chain viability. A two-stage E-Delphi study was conducted to develop strategy packages for trade-offs. In the first round, 48 experts provided 544 qualitative insights, which were categorised into 64 practices. In round two, these practices were evaluated. Items with a median value above 7 were retained. Due to the response rate being below the defined threshold, the process was completed after two rounds.
