Workshop Documentation

SCV-Workshop Guideline
The workshop guidelines describe the structured process of working with the SCV card sets and accompanying posters. Participants are guided through the process step by step, from defining an SCV vision, to analysing stakeholders and trade-offs, to developing their own strategies. The posters serve as a visual framework, recording the results and making the work process visible to all.

SCV-Workshop Poster
The poster accompanies the entire workshop and serves as a common thread throughout the individual work steps. It visualizes the process from the development of an SCV vision to the analysis of stakeholders and trade-offs to the derivation of strategies. At the same time, it can be used as a documentation area on which the most important results are recorded.
Card Sets

Card Set "SCV in a Nutshell"
This card set provides an explanation of the concept of supply chain viability. Each card addresses a key question, thought model or area of conflict, encouraging reflection. What does viability mean in your organisation? Where are the conflicting goals? How can change be actively shaped? The set is ideal for workshops, teaching and strategic discussions, and can be used as an icebreaker at the start of meetings, for example.

Card Set "Use Cases SCV"
Each card presents a real-life example of how strategic measures have been employed to create synergies between the SCV dimensions. These range from decentralised logistics solutions and circular business models to digitised production systems. The cards can be used in workshops, for teaching purposes, or in strategic discussions. They can serve as a source of ideas, aid reflection, or provide inspiration through best practices.

Card Set "SCV Trade-offs"
This set of cards highlights the conflicting goals that companies face in supply chain management every day. Each card describes a specific trade-off — such as higher inventory levels, more sustainable materials or nearshoring — and illustrates its impact on efficiency, resilience and sustainability. The cards encourage discussion. What dependencies shape our decisions? How can we address these dilemmas strategically?

Card Set "SCV Strategy Bundles"
This set of cards brings together 25 proven strategies that companies can use to address the tension between efficiency, resilience and sustainability. The strategies range from multi-sourcing and transparency to circular value creation. Each card illustrates the effects and risks of the respective strategy, posing the key question: Which of your trade-offs could this strategy resolve?
Additional Resources

Dashboard User Guide
The SCV Maturity Check helps companies determine their current position in terms of efficiency, resilience and sustainability. The dashboard serves as a reflection and control tool. It assists in selecting relevant KPIs, setting benchmarks, and measuring progress over time. This enables weaknesses to be identified, goals to be defined, and strategic measures to be tracked transparently. The user guide describes the workflow

SCV Stakeholder Requirements Map
The stakeholder requirements map shows the most important requirements of stakeholders in relation to supply chain viability. The map is divided into six categories: upstream stakeholders, internal stakeholders, downstream stakeholders, market stakeholders, legal stakeholders, and social stakeholders.

Guidelines for Stakeholder Analysis
A successful supply chain requires an in-depth understanding of the stakeholders involved. This guide helps companies to systematically identify relevant stakeholders and analyse their expectations, as well as highlighting potential conflicts of interest at an early stage. The guide is available to download as a PDF file. Excel and Word analysis templates are also available below.

Templates for Stakeholder Analysis
Templates are available to support stakeholder analysis. There are two Word templates for the structured collection of requirements: one for external stakeholders and one for internal stakeholders. These are supplemented by three Excel templates that enable the systematic collection, evaluation and categorisation/prioritisation of stakeholder groups and their requirements.
